WORKSHOPS SCHEDULED

FOR MAY

Kingwood Center has scheduled weekly workshops through May. These classes cover many areas of gardening and decor and have something to offer the entire family.

Next on the schedule is Bill Collins on Saturday, May 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon showing you how to make a beautiful summer container garden.  He will advise on different containers, plants and how to care for them.  Students will plant their own container garden to take home.

Bill will also create a summer container garden of flowering annuals for children ages 5 and up from 1-2:30 p.m. on the same day.

Also on May 26, Debbie Sickmiller will show you how to make a 55 gallon rain barrel to take home.  This popular workshop will be from 9-10:30 a.m., so get your reservation in early to assure a place in the class.

See full details on the Workshop Schedule.  To register for any of the classes, please call Kingwood at 419-522-0211, ext 107.

KINGWOOD HERB SOCIETY will hold their annual Spring Garden Days Herb Sale this coming weekend.  Check out the nearly 100 different herbs for sale on Friday from 4-6, Saturday from 9-5 and Sunday from 2-4.

NEW VISITOR ADVENTURES

THIS SUMMER

Kingwood Center will be offering new opportunities for guests to enjoy their visit this summer on Saturdays.

An "Ambassador" volunteer will be stationed at the Trimble Road entrance to welcome you, provide directions and facility information, and what is happening that day.

Kingwood Hall Tours will now be guided by a knowledgeable and personable volunteer to make your visit more informative and memorable.  The tours, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. will still cost $1 per person.

Offered on alternate Saturdays:  starting on May 19, get your gardening and plant questions answered at the Ask the Master Gardener table set up in the seasonally appropriate areas throughout the grounds OR starting on May 26, take a Guided Garden Tour with a trained guide ($2 per person) at noon and 3 p.m.

Members and volunteers are admitted free to the above.
