Venue Operations Manager
Venue Operations Manager

The Venue Operations Manager provides transformative guest experiences, managing all aspects of Kingwood’s venue related operations such as private rental, public, and special events.  This position works with clients and staff to plan, follow-up, and schedule private and public events. Contracts and works with vendors for in-house and outside catering, entertainment needs, food trucks, etc. as required. This manager infuses Kingwood Center Gardens’ core values into each area affecting guest event experiences. This includes delivering exceptional guest service, managing private rental logistics, coordinating public event execution, and event set-up, ensuring all event guest experiences meet Kingwood’s guest quality standards.

The Venue Operations Manager leads a team of venue operations staff, working as a coordinated unit to deliver exceptional guest service and hospitality. The Manager collaborates with the Seasonal Show Steering Committee and other department staff to deliver Kingwood’s many public event offerings. The Manager works with the Director of Guest Services to develop Kingwood into a prime event venue destination.

Event and Rental Assistant
Event and Rental Assistant

The Event and Rental Assistant provides a transformative guest experience via offering specialized support to both Kingwood’s public and private rental events. The Event and Rental Assistant aids in formulating innovative ideas, highlighting venues, and participating in Kingwood special events. This position works closely with other Kingwood departments on a wide range of event-related tasks. 

Admissions Associate
Admissions Associate

The Admissions Associate provides a positive transformational guest experience, welcoming and serving all garden guests to Kingwood Center Gardens. Welcome Desk Associates are the “Face of Kingwood” and instrumental in creating a positive experience for our guests—strong customer service skills are a must. Membership sales, promoting educational programing, event ticket sales, and reception are also key to this position and the organization. This position is required to work some weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.

Kids Summer Camp Assistant

The Kingwood Kids Summer Camp Assistant position is designed to provide informal classroom experience, under supervision of the Education Coordinator, with a focus on environmental education and building leadership skills working with school-age children. This part-time, temporary position will team-teach the Summer Camp curriculum with the Education Intern and will have the opportunity to work with all departments at Kingwood Center Gardens, guests, and volunteers to gain a broad understanding of how a non-profit estate garden operates..

Safety & Security Team Member
Custodial Team Member

The Custodial Team member provides high quality guest experiences of all indoor facilities through following daily cleaning regimes, meeting Kingwood’ standards of quality.  They occasionally offer support to venue setup team members in setup/tear down of venues.

Setup Team Member

Setup Team members detailing Kingwood venues creates the baseline for transformative guest experiences in those event spaces. The setup team builds a beautiful space for each daily and special event, following client’s wishes and incorporating Kingwood Center Gardens quality standards of elegance and class.

Education Intern
Education Intern

This part-time, paid internship opportunity is available to college students who have a demonstrated knowledge of and interest in education, preferably ECE. The Education Internship position is designed to provide practical experience, with supervision from the Education Coordinator, with a focus on educational programs. This internship will have the opportunity to work with all departments at Kingwood Center Gardens, guests, and volunteers to gain a broad understanding of how a non-profit estate garden operates.

Retail Seasonal Associate
Retail Seasonal Associate

The Retail Seasonal Associate promotes a positive transformative guest experience by assisting with day-to-day retail operations at Kingwood Center Gardens which consist of the indoor gift shop area, the retail greenhouse, and the outdoor plant sales area. This position works closely with both the Horticulture and Visitors Service Departments to confirm that the needs of Kingwood Center Gardens retail, staffing, and open hours are met. It is also the goal of this position to confirm guests are provided with excellent customer service while shopping our retail spaces.
