Director of Education

The Director of Education promotes a transformative guest experience, energetically inspiring innovative and creative thinking among staff to create excellent formal and informal educational programs, events, exhibitions, and community partnerships.

The Director of Education leads strategic initiatives, engaging visitors of diverse ages and backgrounds—from toddlers to seniors—in active, creative experiential learning, where first-hand experience with historical and cultural resources along with observations of the natural world builds knowledge, expands awareness, and fosters a greater care ethic for human and natural communities.

Head Gardener
Head Gardener

Kingwood Center Garden’s Head Gardener promotes positive transformative guest experiences, overseeing the daily fostering of outdoor horticultural displays. The Head Gardener leads the installation and fostering of seasonal horticulture displays.

This position provides routine supervision of the full-time and seasonal gardening staff and volunteers while collaborating with other Horticulture team members.

Visitor Services Assistant

Custodial Team members help to create the foundation for our guests by detailing Kingwood Center Gardens public and event spaces. The custodial crew will maintain beautiful spaces for our guests and incorporate Kingwood Center Gardens standards of quality.

The Seasonal Groundskeeper provides a positive transformative guest experience through assisting with the installation and maintenance of new gardens and grounds areas. This position mainly assists the Grounds staff maintaining lawns, edging, and fertilizing as well as assisting in garden areas.

Safety & Security Team Member

The Safety and Security Team Member promotes a transformative guest experience, providing a safe and secure work and the guest environment through implementing daily safety and security procedures. They ensure the safety and security of all people and property associated with Kingwood through daily monitoring, patrolling for irregularities, and inspection of security and alarm systems.
