With over 40 acres of historic grounds to maintain, our horticultural staff is eager for a helping hand. If you have some gardening experience, can tolerate moderate to heavy physical activity and love being outside, then become a garden volunteer! Garden Volunteers typically work on a weekly basis and are assigned to a lead gardener. It’s a great way to make new friends and get a dose of natural therapy.
Kingwood Hall Host/Hostess
Kingwood’s historic mansion is now open 7 days a week for self-guided tours. As an ambassador, you will greet guests, answer basic questions, and help create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We have visitors from all 50 states and around the world. Our volunteers love getting to know everyone who comes through our doors. This position is great for people who like social interaction.
Love history? Have a passion for educating others and sharing the magical experience of Kingwood? Become a Kingwood Tour Guide! Our tour guides lead multiple garden and/or mansion tours during the summer months. Training will be provided.
Wedding Volunteers help make a couple’s day as special as it can be. Positions range from golf-cart driver to mansion host/hostess to liaisons. If you would like to play a part in someone’s garden wedding dream, then sign-up for one of our many weddings this season.
Want to support Kingwood, but don’t enjoy the heat and toil of the gardens? Help our office team with clerical work: mailing, filing, organizing. Office Assistants are called and scheduled as needed.
Kingwood hosts several large events throughout the year which rely on volunteer assistance. Positions are announced as needed.
