Marketing Lead

Job Overview: The Marketing Lead promotes a positive transformative guest experience through implementing effective marketing strategies that increases awareness and attraction to Kingwood Center Gardens, its initiatives, events, and programs. This position plays a key role in representing and articulating Kingwood’s vision, mission, and core values to the larger community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement key marketing goals and objectives of the communication master plan
  • Develop strategic marketing initiatives in collaboration with marketing team
  • Generate promotional concepts for events, programs, and other activities
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns
  • Monitor marketing campaign progress, evaluate effectiveness, and provide campaign performance reports
  • Create graphic and text content for the organization’s various marketing channels
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in developing different projects and initiatives
  • Develop and manage assigned budgetary responsibilities according to departmental parameters
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with media and community partners to facilitate marketing opportunities for the leadership team and provide resources needed for organizational advocates to succeed
  • Proficiently represents the organization’s vision, mission, and core values to the public
  • Serves and administrates the marketing and development needs across all departments
  • Assist maintaining website, social media, community boards, and all digital and marketing efforts according to branding and content guidelines
  • Respond effectively and timely to social media and website inquiries
  • Regularly audit internal and external Kingwood public information for accuracy
  • Participate in weekly strategy sessions
  • Keep current with marketing trends and best practices
  • Gather and curate photo/media collection for promotion and general purposes
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of continuous standing, sitting, or walking along with occasional stooping, bending, reaching, crouching
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to move around garden in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with exceptional grammatical proficiency
  • Ability to communicate/connect with diverse market segments
  • Creative and self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively or independently as needed
  • Must be goal-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to potential unanticipated opportunities
  • Ability to think strategically and critically
  • Must be able to organize workflows to ensure necessary details are captured and enacted
  • Ability to prioritize work amongst competing set of tasks
  • Ability to work with diverse staff and volunteers
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and support special events as required

Qualifications:

  • 5 years minimum experience in marketing, communication, graphic design, or related field required
  • An Associates or a Bachelor of Art or Science degree in marketing, graphic design, or a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, photo editing, graphic design, web analytics and tools; experienced in Adobe Creative and WordPress preferred
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass drug test
