School dance season at Kingwood season is one of the most popular times to visit Kingwood Center Gardens for photos. To help create a safer and smoother experience for students, families, and other guests, we are introducing discounted timed admission for prom and homecoming photography visits in 2026.
To enjoy discounted admission, Guests wishing to take prom or homecoming photos at Kingwood must reserve a timed ticket online in advance.
Tip: Save time at check-in by taking a screenshot of your e-tickets after purchase.
Valid on Saturdays, April 11 through May 16

- Youth (ages 7–18): $5
- Children (6 and under): Free (reservation required)
- Members: Free with reservation; membership card required at check-in
Timed tickets help manage capacity and ensure a comfortable experience for everyone visiting the Gardens.

School dance photography ticket holders must enter through our Linden Gate.
- School dance photo visitors must enter through Kingwood’s Linden Gate at 60 S. Linden Road
- Parking is available along Linden Road, with overflow parking at the Mansfield Senior High staff lot
- Tickets will be scanned upon arrival
Important note: Kingwood Hall and the Display Greenhouse are closed during school dance photography hours. Some garden areas may also be temporarily unavailable due to weddings or other pre-scheduled events.
Do these procedures apply to all school dance dates?
Yes. These policies apply to all scheduled school dance photography dates to ensure consistent messaging.
Can I buy a ticket at Linden Gate?
No. Linden Gate is used for ticket scanning only. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
Can I use guest passes?
Guest passes cannot be used for school dance photography admission. They may still be used for general admission at Garden Gateway.
Do members need reservations?
Yes. Members must reserve a timed ticket and show their membership card at check-in.
Can guests visit the Gardens without prom photography tickets?
Yes. Guests without prom photography tickets may still visit the Gardens by purchasing full-price general admission through the main Trimble Road entrance at Garden Gateway.
Are these instructions the same for schools hosting their school dance at Kingwood?
No. Schools hosting their full school dance event at Kingwood will receive separate instructions directly from their Kingwood point of contact. These procedures differ from the standard school dance photography visit.
