Job Overview: The Safety and Security Team Lead promotes a transformative guest experience, providing a safe and secure work and the guest environment through implementing daily safety and security procedures. They take a point, ensuring the safety and security of all people and property associated with Kingwood through daily monitoring, patrolling for irregularities, and inspection of security and alarm systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Secures premises and personnel by opening/closing and patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitted entry points
- Maintains a safe campus environment through monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
- Prevents losses and damage, reporting irregularities; informs violators of policy and procedures; monitoring trespassers as a part of an emergency service’s response
- Documents observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviews witnesses; obtains signatures to complete incident reports
- Controls traffic by directing drivers
- Serves as point of contact with emergency services for specific onsite incidents
- Maintains organization’s stability and reputation while complying with legal requirements
- Maintains the inventory of first aid stations
- Maintains a positive, collaborative and solution-orientated demeanor when requesting to or serving staff and guests
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions in real-time
- Ability to collaborate with persons of all ages, diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities including staff, guests, and volunteers
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to effectively present complex information to staff and guests
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in dynamic or stressful circumstances
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and work long periods on one’s feet
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and standard office equipment, as well as electronic, assess and surveillance systems
- Must be first aid and CPR certified or willing to get certification
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in safety and security positions preferred
- A high school diploma or GED required
- Positive, guest engaged focus
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug test
