Classification: Hourly, Part-time
Job Overview: The Facilities and Maintenance Assistant ensures Kingwood Center Gardens’ physical plant, infrastructure, and other systems associated with a transformative guest experience are in good working order. The Assistant supports the daily and special project operational priorities of the Facilities and Maintenance Department and Kingwood as a whole.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks and repairs on Kingwood Center’s various building and grounds infrastructure systems and features
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic repairs to KCG’s fleet and machinery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop
- Assist in maintaining the necessary inventory of tools and parts sufficient to complete routine operational tasks
- Ensures a safe working environment while completing work on campus and that all safety protocols are followed
- Participate in KCG’s snow removal operations during snow events
- Assist with Seasonal Show and temporary exhibit fabrication, installation, and removal as needed
- Assist with event set up and take down as required
- Serve as extra staff during peak attendance public events or shows as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma and/or at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in physical plant maintenance, vehicle maintenance, or construction preferred
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug test
