ABOUT THE RACE

  • The 5K benefits horticultural and educational programming here at Kingwood
  • The race begins at 9:00 AM and is chip-timed
  • The course winds through the Gardens and the Richland B & O Bike Trail
  • The award ceremony will be held in the Courtyard after the race
  • Participants can enjoy shopping in the Garden & Gift Shop, dining in the Gateway Café, and free admission to the gardens
  • Please park in Kingwood’s Trimble Road parking lot and enter through the Garden Gateway visitor center

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Program runs weekly, NEW TIME! Wednesdays at 10 AM

During this 45-minute class, take in the natural beauty of Kingwood Gardens and breath-in the fresh air.  Dress with appropriate footwear as we will trek a 3/4-mile loop, ending with a 10-minute stretch session designed to improve muscle tone, flexibility, and range of motion.   After class you will leave feeling refreshed and restored in the mind body and spirit.
