November 29, 6-7:30pm: Snowman Felting
Needle felting is the process of repeatedly pushing a barbed needle into a mass of fiber, agitating, compressing, and locking the fibers together into a denser mass of fiber. No experience necessary. No knitting, no crocheting. I think of it as being like sculpting, with fiber and a needle, instead of clay. In this class you will learn to needle felt a three-dimensional snowman out of alpaca fiber, complete with whatever accessories you decide to dress him/her in. All materials are included, felting tools and foam surface to work on are provided for use in class. This is a fun class and everyone’s snowman turns out different than the others. Great gift or Christmas decoration for your own home!
