Hypertufa is a substitute material for natural tufa – a very porous natural limestone rock – and is used to make garden ornaments and containers because it is much lighter than traditional concrete. Students will make “trough” container that can be used for planting (cacti and succulents do exceptionally well in this type of container). Laura Mast, Greenhouse Supervisor, will lead the class.
